Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to residents in their own home within the community. You will assist with daily living activities, support the implementation of care plans, and ensure that the wellbeing of our clients is prioritised. Strong communication skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional care are essential for this role.
Responsibilities
* Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Support clients in daily activities such as meal preparation, medication management, and mobility assistance.
* Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
* Help implement individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
* Maintain accurate records of patient progress and report any changes in condition to nursing staff.
* Ensure a clean and safe environment for residents by adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required.
Experience
* Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
* Strong communication skills in English are required to interact effectively with residents and colleagues.
* Basic IT skills are necessary for maintaining records and using healthcare software.
* A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting clients when needed.
* A genuine passion for providing high-quality care and supporting individuals in their daily lives.
