Hours of Work: 9:00am to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday and every other Saturday from 10:00am to 4:00pm.
On occasion you will be required to work evenings.
Salary: £28,000.00 per annum

General Overview of Role
The primary responsibilities of the role will include:
* Transportation
* Route planning
* Manual handling
* Liaising with customers and suppliers
* Daily ‘before use’ checks and fault reporting
* Any other duties as and when required
* Excellent customer service skills
Key Responsibilities
Transportation
* Assisting with the transportation of customer vehicles between Company Showrooms and customer’s delivery destination.
* Following procedures for safe driving in line with the Highway Code and the Company handbook for ‘Use and Driving of Vehicles While at Work’.
* Maintaining an awareness of Company insurance stipulations with regards to use of Company vehicles.
* Occasional chauffeuring of Company Chairman and Senior Management.
Route Planning
* Operating vehicle satellite navigation systems.
* Planning efficient routes to destinations prior to departure, accounting for transportation times, road closures, traffic etc.
* Planning alternative routes to destinations in the event that you face an obstruction.
Appraisal of Vehicles
When assisting with the transportation of customer vehicles:
* Appraisal and re-appraisal of service loan and customer vehicles at collection and delivery.
* Where vehicles require cleaning, informing customers that defects may be identified following valeting.
* Liaising with the Head of Customer Service regarding insurance regulations.
Liaising with Customers and Suppliers
* Representing the brand when collecting and / or delivering vehicles to customers and suppliers.
* Exercising clear and concise communication skills and answering any questions that customers or suppliers may have with regards to transportation.
* Maintaining a professional and presentable appearance at all times.
Showroom Hosting
* Greeting customers in the showroom.
* Assisting the sales team with providing an excellent customer experience.
* Providing cover in the showroom when the sales team are not available.
* Opening and closing the showroom daily.
Daily ‘Before Use’ Checks and Fault Reporting
* Performing daily ‘before use’ checks on Company vehicles prior to departing including checking fuel, oil and water levels, vehicle breaks, vehicle lights, indicators, tyre pressure etc.
* Informing the Sales Team where vehicles are not fit for departure.
* Liaising with Workshop and / or After-Sales and Service Staff in order to action any necessary repairs.
* Arranging alternative transportation where possible.
Any Other Duties As and When Required
This may include, but is not limited to:
* Performing any other duties as and when required by the Company, Senior Management Team and Transport Manager.
* Assisting with general maintenance of Knutsford Showroom.
* Valeting of vehicles.
Essential Skills and Experience
* 3 year’s driving experience (experience in automotive sector is desirable, but not essential).
* Experience in customer vehicle delivery is desirable.
* Experience driving Company Directors, Executives and Senior Management is desirable.
* A good working knowledge of the UK road network.
* Experience of driving in Europe is desirable.
* Must be able to safely lift a minimum of 30kg.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Must have an eye for detail.
* Must be presentable.
* Must have a flexible approach to working hours.
* A full, clean UK driving license.
