Overview
We are seeking a registered Vet Nurse to join the Veterinary Team based in our rehoming centre in Cardiff, Wales. The role is part time for 22.5 hours per week, Monday‑to‑Friday with no out‑of‑hours or weekend commitment. Compensation is £16,708 per year plus benefits.
Responsibilities
* Work closely with the Dogs Trust rehoming centre team to provide excellent veterinary care and welfare to our dogs.
* Be involved with routine veterinary care, maintaining clinical protocols, assisting with the transfer of dogs to/from the local veterinary surgery and providing post‑surgery care.
* Serve as a point of contact for veterinary assistance, ensuring protocols are adhered to by providing informal, occasional training to staff.
Qualifications & Requirements
• Registered Veterinary Nurse with experience handling dogs in a rehoming or charity setting (induction provided).
• Ability to use positive reinforcement techniques.
• Empathy and understanding towards both dogs and people, committed to delivering the highest standards of patient care and customer service.
• Full, clean UK driving licence.
