About the Opportunity
Nuclear Power Programmes are delivering critical works for major UK and European projects, including Hinkley Point C, Sizewell C, and Poland's first Nuclear Power station. Our teams support project management throughout the lifecycle, focusing on delivering safe, high-quality, timely solutions through innovation and collaboration.
We are seeking an EP&R Technical Support Officer to support the development and delivery of emergency preparedness arrangements at the Hinkley Point C site. Responsibilities include developing arrangements, training operational staff, implementing procedures, ensuring facilities have appropriate equipment and systems, and working with the construction emergency team for a smooth transition from construction to operational phases.
Key Responsibilities:
* Experience of Emergency Planning and Health and Safety Legislation.
* Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
* Ability to work independently with excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
* Professional qualities including accuracy, tenacity, diplomacy, result-oriented, and teamwork-oriented attitude.
Qualifications:
* HNC or equivalent in science, radiation protection, engineering, or related discipline.
* Experience in developing and maintaining emergency arrangements.
* Experience engaging with external stakeholders, including regulators or auditors.
* Experience in large project delivery organizations is desirable.
