We are seeking a dedicated Performing Arts Teacher to join a vibrant secondary education setting in Scunthorpe. This full-time maternity cover role commences in September, offering an exciting opportunity to inspire and nurture young talent in the performing arts.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Plan, prepare, and deliver inspiring performing arts lessons in line with the curriculum.
* Foster a creative and stimulating learning environment that encourages student participation and performance.
* Direct and produce school performances and support students in developing their acting, dancing, and musical skills.
* Assess and record students' progress, providing constructive feedback to promote development.
* Collaborate with other teaching staff to integrate performing arts into the broader curriculum.
* Participate in departmental meetings, school training events, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of educational practices and methodologies in the performing arts.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent in the UK.
* Degree in Performing Arts, Drama, Music, Dance, or a related field.
* Proven experience in teaching performing arts in a secondary school environment.
* Strong organisational and communication skills.
* Passion for the performing arts and education.
* Ability to motivate and achieve excellence in teaching and learning.
