Hours of duty are 15 hours per week with two posts available: Post 1 – Monday & Tuesday 8 am‑4 pm; Post 2 – Monday & Friday 6 am‑2 pm. A degree of flexibility will be required.
Responsibilities
As a general porter you will undertake portering duties on a day‑to‑day basis to ensure an efficient, effective and safe service to wards and departments/patients and to deliver the highest standard of Service (Portering) within the Raigmore site.
You will be required to achieve the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and comply with the Code of Conduct throughout employment.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Ability to work as part of a team or on your own initiative, follow instructions and possess good communication skills.
* Ability to respond constructively to unpredictable situations and cope under pressure.
* Driving licence essential – you will be expected to drive a van up to 3.5 tonnes and the small catering and portering vans/cars.
* Good customer communication skills.
* Mandatory induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and compliance with the Code of Conduct.
