Customer excellence is the backbone of our business, which means that our people, systems, and processes are central to our success The Role As an IT Technician, you’ll be joining our IT function at a pivotal time as we scale our operations and support the business through rapid growth and acquisitions. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be deeply involved in the day-to-day running of IT operations, ensuring a seamless digital experience across the organisation. You’ll take ownership of key operational processes including the management of our cloud telephony platform, the joiners, movers, and leavers (JML) lifecycle, and the deployment of mobile devices. You’ll also play a vital role in liaising with newly acquired businesses to ensure smooth IT onboarding and connectivity setup. In addition to internal responsibilities, you’ll act as an escalation point for IT issues and work closely with our third-party support providers to resolve incidents and implement improvements. Key Responsibilities Act as a hands-on escalation point for internal IT issues, working closely with third-party support providers. Manage and maintain the organisation’s cloud telephony platform. Liaise with newly acquired businesses to ensure seamless IT onboarding and connectivity setup. Own and execute the joiners, movers, and leavers (JML) process. Deploy and manage mobile devices, including configuration and user support. Perform desktop and laptop builds, imaging, and distribution. Conduct network patching and assist with hardware installations and removals. Carry out regular audits of IT equipment and manage secure disposal processes. Maintain accurate IT asset records and ensure compliance with asset management policies. Support the development and documentation of scalable IT processes and procedures. Skills Required Minimum 3 years of experience in a hands-on IT support or technician role. Strong knowledge of desktop, mobile, and network technologies. Experience with cloud telephony platforms and mobile device management (MDM). Familiarity with basic networking concepts (e.g. TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP). Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with internal teams and external partners. Highly organised with attention to detail and a proactive approach. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with multiple priorities. Experience supporting multi-site or acquisition-heavy environments is a plus. Knowledge of ITIL or similar service management frameworks is desirable.
