Overview
Care Home Manager (Fixed Term for 1 Year) - PKC13030 at Parkdale Residential Care Home, Auchterarder. Salary: £45,987 - £49,065. Parkdale is a care home for up to 30 residents. You will lead the day-to-day running of the home, provide leadership and line management to the care home team, drive continuous improvement, and ensure financial sustainability.
Responsibilities
* Lead a culture of collaboration, openness, safeguarding, and best practice across the home.
* Identify, manage and mitigate potential risks to self and others by applying and updating appropriate ways of working.
* Meet Care Inspectorate regulatory requirements and be the Registered Manager; be registered with the SSSC as a Manager in a Care Home Service for Adults within 3 months of start date.
* Manage staff training and development, supervision, and performance, aligning with the Council\'s Values and Behaviours.
* Ensure residents receive safe, effective and personalised care that enables them to live fulfilling lives and stay connected with their communities.
* Oversee financial management to ensure value for money and efficiency within the home.
Skills & Experience
* Ability to lead and manage a team, with planning and organisational skills to manage and review workloads.
* Analytical ability to interpret information and prioritise actions to support service delivery.
* Knowledge of health & safety policy and management, including emergency/planning within the area of responsibility.
* Experience in a leadership role within care services; warm and approachable communication with residents and staff; strong interpersonal skills to engage with partners.
* Knowledge of financial activities and procedures to manage devolved budgets.
Essential Requirements
* SVQ Social Services and Healthcare SCQF Level 9 (was SVQ4).
* Management qualification at or above SCQF Level 9 (min 60 credits) mapped against National Occupational Standards: Leadership and Management for Care Services SCQF 10.
* SVQ Care Services Leadership and Management SCQF Level 10.
* Registration with the SSSC within 3 months as Manager in a Care Home Service for Adults.
