About The Role UNLOCK YOUR BEST WORK LIFE make a difference for every patient We’re looking for a dedicated and reliable Housekeeper to join our team at Practice Plus Group, helping us maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our patients, staff, and visitors. This is a part-time position working 30 hours per week, working 16:00 - 22:00 Monday to Friday. You’ll play a vital role in supporting our hospital operations, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness across both clinical and non-clinical areas. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys being part of a supportive team, and is motivated by making a difference in people’s day-to-day experiences. Experience in housekeeping or cleaning — particularly in a hospital or healthcare environment — would be an advantage, but it’s not essential. What matters most is your enthusiasm, your attention to detail, and your dedication to maintaining the highest standards. What you'll be doing As a valued member of our housekeeping team, you’ll: Maintain a high standard of cleaning in patient areas, offices, corridors, and public spaces. Perform cleaning tasks such as mopping, vacuuming, polishing, and wiping surfaces to the standards required. Clean toilet and washroom facilities, restocking supplies as needed. Operate cleaning machinery (such as buffers and carpet cleaners) safely and effectively — full training will be provided. Ensure patient and public safety by using appropriate signage when cleaning. Dispose of clinical and domestic waste correctly, following infection prevention and control policies. Report any repairs, faults, or safety concerns promptly to your team lead. Maintain accurate cleaning records and ensure all duties are completed to specification. In this role, you’ll not only help us keep our hospital spotless — you’ll also contribute directly to patient comfort and satisfaction through your care and attention to detail. An understanding of the importance of cleanliness and infection control in a healthcare setting (training provided). The ability to work flexibly across days and evenings, including Saturday shifts.
