This role focuses on developing apprentices’ and learners’ competence across electrical installation, maintenance, inspection, testing, fault diagnosis, electrical principles and safe working practices. You will work closely with lecturers, assessors, employers and curriculum leaders to ensure learners develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to progress successfully within the electrotechnical sector. The successful candidate will support delivery linked to City & Guilds Level 3 Electrical Installation / Electrotechnical qualifications, including apprenticeship routes aligned to the Installation and Maintenance Electrician standard.
Key Responsibilities
* Demonstrate hands‑on electrical techniques and procedures.
* Break down complex concepts for learners.
* Provide technical and practical training across workshop, classroom and workplace settings.
* Support the apprenticeship programme and help learners achieve full occupational competence.
* Maintain health & safety practices and uphold high professional standards.
What You Need to Bring
Experienced electrical professional with strong communication skills and a commitment to developing others. Ideally, you have experience as an electrician, electrical maintenance technician, workplace assessor or trainer and hold or be willing to gain relevant teaching or assessing qualifications.
