What You’ll Be Doing
* Lead and support a range of IT security projects, ensuring secure and timely delivery
* Manage and maintain cybersecurity tools for both on‑prem and cloud environments (cloud being a key focus)
* Implement, configure, and update security solutions including EDR, SIEM, vulnerability management, IAM, and cloud security tools
* Collaborate with internal IT, development, and third‑party teams to embed security across all operations
* Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and OSINT investigations
* Monitor emerging threats, zero‑day vulnerabilities, and new CVEs, assessing their potential impact
* Investigate and respond to security incidents, performing root cause analysis and recommending improvements
* Deliver engaging security awareness training across the business
* Provide security guidance for new technologies and strategic initiatives
* Support day‑to‑day security operations and enforce strong change control processes
* Assist with SOC alerts, investigations, and escalations
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience in a Cyber Security Engineer or similar technical security role
* Strong understanding of network, infrastructure, and application security principles
* Practical experience with security tools and platforms, both on‑prem and cloud-based
* Familiarity with industry standards and frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS)
* Experience in risk assessment, vulnerability management, and incident response
* Hands‑on experience configuring and managing cloud security tools and IAM solutions
* Knowledge of EDR platforms and vulnerability management processes
* Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CEH, Azure Security Engineer) desirable
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex issues for non‑technical audiences
* Proactive, detail‑oriented, and able to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment
