Role Overview

Provide overall leadership for the Service Engineers, including EH&S and customer service delivery, manage resource allocation, preventative maintenance execution, repair and callout execution support and customer experience.

On a typical day you will:

1. Oversee the day-to-day management of the service department, including planned maintenance, call-outs, and minor repairs.
2. Manage a team of service engineers
3. Develop and implement service strategies that align with the company’s overall objectives. Forecast service demands and ensure adequate staffing levels.
4. Monitor and improve customer satisfaction. Handle complex customer complaints and issues with professionalism and empathy.
5. Maintain strong relationships with clients, attend meetings, handle escalations, complaints, and ensuring high customer satisfaction.
6. Performance Management and Development (eg: Face to face 121’s, coaching and mentoring of field team)
7. Lead hiring process with support of HR when necessary
8. Other line management and controls (timesheet approval, expense approval, time off)
9. Drive technology adoption within team to support productivity
10. Drive safety culture and ensure field compliance in line with Liftec Express safety policy
11. Conduct required field safety and quality for engineers and subcontractors
12. Deliver safety training to engineers & subcontractors
13. Ensure PPE and tools, company car are in proper condition
14. Close out team specific safety corrections in line with company policies and deadlines
15. Onsite customer meetings in collaboration with the account manager
16. Lead completion of customer field related queries
17. Quality Manage Field Quality Audits to support quality productivity

Skills and Qualifications:

18. Strong client-facing and communication skills
19. IT literate – comfortable using service management software and Microsoft Office
20. Experience in project management and service delivery processes
21. Ability to lead and motivate a team
22. Analytical skills to monitor performance and identify improvements
23. Familiarity with service level agreements (SLAs) and performance metrics
