Teaching Assistant – Secondary School
Location: Cardiff | Hours: Mon–Fri, 8:30am – 3:30pm
Daily Rate: £89.38 | Start Date: 1st September 2025
Are you passionate about supporting young people and making a positive impact in education? Teaching Personnel are seeking an enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to work in a secondary school in Cardiff.
Whether you're experienced or looking to start your career in education, this role offers a chance to support children aged 11–18 with additional learning needs.
What You'll Do:
Provide 1:1 and group support to pupils with diverse needs
Assist teachers in delivering engaging, inclusive lessons
Support learning through sensory activities, structured plans, and practical tasks
Encourage students' emotional and social development
Create a safe, positive learning environment
Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and school staff

You don’t need teaching qualifications – just the right attitude and a passion for helping children succeed. We’re especially keen to hear from those with experience or interest in:
Youth Work, Care Work, or Support Roles
Sports Coaching, Mentoring, or Volunteer Youth Programmes
Education graduates, or anyone considering a future in teaching

Requirements:
Willing to complete an Enhanced DBS check (we'll help you apply)
Register with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) (guidance provided)
Provide 2 references from the past 24 months
Be able to commute to Cardiff
