Job Description:
Marine & Helicopter Coordination is a key support function within the Offshore Operations & Logistics department of Construction, enabling safe offshore operations, transit, access to the OWF, assets within the OWF, and emergency response during OWF construction.
The role involves day and night shifts, including weekends. Additional ad-hoc shifts may be available during the main contract period and around it.
Key Tasks:
* Emergency response coordination, acting as the frontline contact for response and liaising with project staff and external agencies.
* Vessel and helicopter traffic control according to protocols and procedures.
* Tracking personnel, vessels, and communications.
* Managing WTG access restrictions.
* Optimizing vessel allocations and adjusting plans as needed.
* Operating offshore management systems, ensuring personnel certification and asset status are up-to-date.
* Liaising with local stakeholders.
* Providing weather data analysis and recommendations.
* Managing relationships with weather data providers.
Requirements:
* Local applicants preferred, within approximately 2 hours of Grimsby.
* Over 2 years of experience in Marine Coordination.
* Proficiency with Offshore Operations Supplier Database.
* Competency in Radio Communications.
* Computer literacy.
* Knowledge of Maritime Certification.
* Teamwork, proactive attitude, ability to work under pressure, good organizational engagement.
* Experience in offshore Emergency Response.
* Personnel tracking and vessel traffic control skills.
* Airspace coordination for safe flight operations.
* Weather and marine operations monitoring.
* Emergency response planning.
* Surveillance and vessel avoidance.
* Liaison with documentation, HSE, marine inspection, helicopter operators.
* Statutory reporting related to pollution, lighting, drifting buoys, vessel infringement.
* 12-hour shifts, 1 week on/1 week off, with flexibility for extended rotations up to 14-21 days.
