The role
As a Semi‑Skilled Operative, you'll carry out a range of workshop support duties including stripping, cleaning, de‑painting and assisting in overhaul activities for A‑vehicles and associated sub‑assemblies. You'll be working as part of a wider engineering support team, helping ensure tasks are completed safely, accurately and to the required standard.
Day-to-day, you'll be:
* Completing workshop tasks in line with job cards, customer requirements, regulations and approved technical publications.
* Stripping, cleaning, de‑painting and supporting overhaul of military vehicles and sub‑assemblies.
* Maintaining tools and workshop equipment in safe, serviceable condition and reporting any faults.
* Supporting the workshop team with general duties to ensure efficient operations.
* Following all Babcock, MOD and site safety rules and processes.
This role is full time working 37 hours per week and is based on site at DSG Bovington, Dorset.
Essential experience of the Semi-Skilled Operative:
Experience working within a busy manufacturing or workshop environment.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) / Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
