SEN Teacher Wanted - Surbiton Are you an experienced SEN Teacher looking for a rewarding opportunity in Surbiton? We are working with a supportive specialist education setting in Surbiton that is seeking a committed SEN Teacher to help children and young people with additional needs achieve meaningful progress. This SEN Teacher role is suitable for a qualified teacher with QTS and experience teaching pupils with special educational needs. What You'll Be Doing In this SEN Teacher role, you will: Deliver differentiated lessons that support pupils with a range of special educational needs. Teach learners across primary, secondary or post-16 pathways, depending on your experience. Use EHCP targets to plan purposeful and accessible learning. Support pupils with needs such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD, SLD, speech and language needs or complex learning profiles. Create a calm and consistent classroom where pupils can develop confidence and independence. Work closely with teaching assistants, SENCOs, therapists and pastoral staff. Monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching strategies to suit individual learning needs. Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation and social development. What We Need From You We are looking for an SEN Teacher who: Holds Qualified Teacher Status, QTS. Has experience teaching children or young people with special educational needs. Has worked within primary, secondary or post-16 education. Can plan and deliver creative lessons for learners working at different levels. Understands the importance of routine, consistency and relationship-led practice. Is confident working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
