Robert Half are pleased to be partnering with an established business based in Ely who are seeking a Management Accountant to join their finance team on a temporary basis to cover a period of sickness leave. This assignment will initially run for 3 months, with a strong potential for extension depending on business needs.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller, you will take ownership of the monthly management accounts process, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of financial information. You'll play a key role in supporting ongoing reporting and providing insights to assist management decisions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Preparation and completion of monthly management accounts
2. Performing variance analysis and preparing commentary for senior management
3. Supporting budgeting and forecasting activities
4. Performing balance sheet reconciliations
5. Assisting with year-end and audit preparation
6. Providing ad hoc financial analysis and support to the wider finance team
Your Profile
7. Part-qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA) or QBE (Qualified by Experience)
8. Proven experience in management accounting and month-end processes
9. Strong Excel skills essential
10. Experience with Sage 200 is highly advantageous
11. Excellent attention to detail and ability to work autonomously
12. Available immediately or on short notice
The Offer
13. Hourly rate: £20-25 per hour (depending on experience)
14. Location: Ely - Hybrid (3 days office / 2 days WFH)
15. Contract length: 3 months, with potential for extension
