Location: An Ofsted-rated “Good” further education college in the West Midlands
Contract: Temporary, fixed term
Dates: 5 September 2025 to October half-term (initial contract)
Hours:
Tuesday: 08:30–16:30
Wednesday: 08:30–12:30
Thursday: 13:00–16:30
About the Role
Think FE Ltd are recruiting on behalf of an FE college in the West Midlands. We’re seeking a specialist criminology lecturer (not a general humanities teacher). The ideal candidate will be confident delivering the WJEC Criminology specification, ideally to Level 3 and possibly beyond.
You’ll join a supportive team, take ownership of planning and delivery, and contribute to the success of enthusiastic learners preparing for progression into higher education or careers.
Who Are We Looking For?
You will have:
Experience teaching criminology specifically, ideally within Further Education
Ideally a recognised Teaching Qualification (PGCE, DET, DTLLS etc.)
Familiarity with WJEC Criminology spec would be ideal
Ability to differentiate for diverse learner groups
Happy to undergo an enhance DBS check including child barred list prior to commencing employment
