Donor Carer – Mobile Team
Job Summary
We are looking for a people person to be the friendly face that greets our donors and supports them through the donation process across the Black Country, South Staffordshire, and Wolverhampton. You'll work flexible shifts (up to 75 hours per fortnight, 9.5‑hour days between 08:00 and 21:30). You will use your own vehicle to travel to sessions and claim mileage expenses.
Main duties of the job
* Greet donors and assist them from check‑in to post‑donation.
* Ensure donor comfort and confidence throughout the donation session.
* Keep accurate records and handle blood products safely.
* Set up equipment and prepare the session for smooth operation.
* Operate the equipment lorry after full training.
* Work actively on your feet, performing lifting and moving tasks as required.
About You
Experience and Knowledge
* Experience dealing with the public.
* Experience delivering quality customer service.
* Willingness to learn new technology skills and undergo digital training.
Qualifications and Training
* Good standard of numeracy and literacy.
* Willingness to undertake development and training to upskill, including completion of the Skills for Health Care Certificate.
* Valid full UK driving licence (manual) with no more than 6 penalty points (no provisional licences accepted).
