Job Description To work collaboratively within the Customer Services Reception team to deliver a comprehensive and welcoming front-line service for all Council services. Providing accurate information and advice to internal and external customers in a professional, courteous, and customer-focused manner, ensuring a positive experience for customers. Requirements Deliver an excellent customer experience Process customer and service information Support service development The Individual Experience of working in a busy Customer Service environment Experience of working with a range of computerised systems to retrieve and capture data accurately 4 SQA Standard Grades or equivalent at level 3 or above Experience of working as part of a team Ability to support new team members with practical training on procedures, techniques and using computer systems Ability to record high volumes of information accurately Ability to use own initiative to meet varying customer requirements A flexible and adaptable approach to meet changing service requirements Proven face to face Customer Service skills practised in a multi-disciplined environment Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Willingness to accept direction/delegation Ability to deal with people in an understanding, supportive and professional manner Ability to remain calm when dealing with emotional, challenging or stressed people Ability to maintain high standards of customer service in a time-pressurised environment Appreciation and acceptance of the commitment and the importance of confidentiality.
