About the Role
We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to join one of our vibrant and supportive schools in Rotherham. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled practitioner with a genuine commitment to improving outcomes for pupils with Special Educational Needs.
You will be working within a specialist or mainstream setting, delivering tailored lessons that inspire, engage, and support students with a range of additional needs-including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, PMLD, and complex learning needs.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver differentiated lessons that meet individual EHCP targets
Create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
Work closely with SENCOs, therapists, support staff, and families
Track and assess pupil progress, using this to inform future planning
Implement effective behaviour management strategies
Foster independence, confidence, and essential life skills
What Were Looking For
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS)
Experience working with children with SEND (school or specialist setting)
Strong understanding of behaviour support and adaptive teaching
A compassionate, patient, and resilient approach
Excellent communication and teamwork skillsECTs with SEN experience or a strong interest in SEN are also welcome to apply.
