Job Overview:
As a Procurement Assistant at Taste Original, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the procurement team with the administration for the department. This is a varied role where you will interact with suppliers, complete administration, and maintain records, assist with inventory levels, track orders, and help ensure the timely delivery of materials. You will work closely with the buyers and the wider team to ensure records and system are accurate and maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of system, records, and supplier performance.
* Monitor and track orders to ensure on-time delivery, resolving any supply chain issues that may arise.
* Collate weekly supplier delivery report and ensure key information is circulated.
* Assist in managing supplier relationships and evaluate supplier performance.
* Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders within the business to maintain stock levels.
* An awareness of market trends and insights with interest in the procurement process.
* Work alongside accounts team to resolve any delivery, invoice, or credit disputes.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven experience in administration preferably within procurement capacity.
* Knowledge of procurement processes, inventory management, and supply chain logistics.
* Strong communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to build effective relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
* Strong attention to detail, with excellent organizational and time management skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with Sage advantageous.
* A proactive approach and a keen eye for detail.
