We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Factory Engineer to join our team at Stewarts of Tayside. Our facility features a large, modern production environment, packing fresh produce across 3 packhouses. We require a proactive individual to ensure that our factory operations run efficiently year-round. This role involves maintaining a variety of factory equipment and systems, as well as responding to any technical issues that arise.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintenance and repair of factory equipment and production systems.
* Troubleshooting mechanical and electrical faults to minimize downtime.
* Conducting routine inspections, servicing, and preventative maintenance.
* Ensuring all machinery is operating safely and efficiently.
* Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and contributing to factory performance enhancements.
Requirements:
* Strong communication skills.
* Proven experience in maintaining factory or industrial equipment.
* Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
* Ability to work independently and solve problems under pressure whilst working well as part of a team.
* High attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
* Flexibility to adapt to different technical challenges as needed.
