Joe Court Forestry Ltd is a family run business established in 2005. Based near Hascombe, Surrey we are a growing forestry company which offers all aspects of woodland management across the UK. We have a dedicated team of hand cutters and machine operators with a focus on high customer service and providing a full range of forestry services. We work with all elements of the forestry industry from woodland owners, forest management companies, local governments, and public bodies.
We are a small but expanding team, with sites across the South of England, we focus on delivering the best quality service, working hard and continually investing in both machinery and our team. The Role
Due to the continued expansion and development of the woodland management side of the company, we are looking for a Woodland Officer on a fixed term contract to work alongside the current consultancy team on a number of existing projects. This role would suit a forestry graduate or someone on the pathway to become a chartered forester. The ideal candidate will have exceptional attention to detail, strong abilities to work with key stakeholders, be highly adept in writing Woodland Management Plans and bringing them to fruition. They must be an individual who is highly motivated, educated to degree level or comparable industry experience, and passionate about their work.
As Woodland Officer, you would be responsible for client management of an existing portfolio of woodlands, overseeing all aspect of woodland management such as writing WMPs, conducting woodland surveys, grant applications and felling licenses as well as day to day relationship management with clients. You would work closely with both the leadership and operational teams to implement harvesting work and forestry projects, enabling you to oversee a project from start to finish.
The role is a fixed term, six month contract, with the potential to become full time and permanent for the right candidate, based out of our head office in South of England.
Hours would be 45 hours a week.
Salary: £32,000 - £42,000 depending on experience.
