As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part‑time hours will be reduced pro‑rata. The pay scale in this advert will not be changing as a result.
To work in the United Kingdom, there is a legal requirement for an individual to demonstrate that they have the relevant permission to work in the country. The permission is, without exception, granted by the UK Visa and Immigrations Service.
Responsibilities
* Undertake the role of the Community Mental Health Nurse utilising specialist clinical knowledge to inform decision making and clinical judgement from initial assessment through to discharge.
* Provide specialist advice to the multidisciplinary team in relation to the management of patient conditions through the assessment, treatment and review planning process in partnership with the patient and carer.
* Give specialist advice to healthcare professionals, other agencies, carers, clients and relatives.
* Support the development of the service to improve practice and work collaboratively across healthcare boundaries, implementing and evaluating evidence‑based standards, guidelines and policies.
* Provide teaching and supervision to junior staff and students.
Qualifications
* Must hold a PVG Scheme membership/record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (child and/or adult) an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
* Must have legal permission to work in the United Kingdom.
* Demonstrated ability to be an inspirational leader who is caring, compassionate and motivated to join an empowered and highly skilled nursing family.
