Teaching Assistant – SEND Support

Monarch Education is currently supporting a Primary School in the Selly Oak area of Birmingham in their search for a committed Teaching Assistant. This full-time role is available for an immediate start and is expected to continue on a long-term basis.
The school is looking for someone with proven experience working with children who have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The role involves supporting pupils with a range of needs and includes providing personal care and toileting assistance.
Role Responsibilities The appointed candidate will:
* Deliver targeted support to pupils with SEND, both in small groups and one-to-one settings
* Assist with personal care and toileting routines
* Help implement and follow Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
* Work alongside teachers and the SENCO to promote inclusive learning
* Contribute to a positive and safe classroom environment
* Record observations and support progress tracking
Candidate Requirements To be considered, you must:
* Hold a recognised qualification in Teaching Assistance or a related education field (Level 2 or Level 3 minimum)
* Have direct experience supporting children with SEND
* Be confident in delivering personal care and toileting support
* Show a calm, reliable, and professional approach to working with children
* Understand and uphold safeguarding responsibilities
