We offer competitive salaries and free bakery products, including bread, donuts, and muffins. We are Fletchers Bakery, growing at our Sheffield site. Join us to be part of our journey.
With over 125 years of baking tradition, Fletchers Bakery, part of the Finsbury Group, has a rich history dating back to 1895. We are one of the UK's most diverse and efficient bakery manufacturers, serving retail and foodservice sectors.
We continually seek to improve and need talented colleagues to help us advance. As a QA FLM, you will be a respected team member, driving improvements and making a difference. Your primary role will be to ensure compliance across site operations, including auditing, measuring, reviewing, and sampling. You will communicate non-compliance issues to leaders for corrective actions, work with operations to resolve production challenges, make decisions on product quality, conduct traceability exercises, and improve standards. Maintaining high health, safety, and hygiene standards is essential, as is producing high-quality products.
This is what you’ll actually do!
You will work a 4 on 4 off shift, covering days and nights in a fast-paced environment.
You will monitor product quality on-line, ensure process controls are met, and record findings. You will identify issues promptly for corrective actions, assist with process documentation, and conduct audits, including HACCP compliance.
You will manage food safety and quality incidents, complete documentation for holds and non-compliance, and investigate root causes to implement corrective actions. You will make informed decisions to optimize plant efficiency and profitability, gathering evidence to support your decisions.
You will conduct internal audits, perform traceability exercises, and present findings during customer visits and audits. You will liaise with operations to investigate complaints, identify root causes, and ensure corrective actions are implemented. Managing databases, reporting, and investigations will also be part of your role.
You will perform daily quality evaluations, record results, and proactively resolve issues. You will coordinate export activities, including traceability and veterinary audits for EU exports.
The role is diverse, with varying daily tasks. During audits and visits, the environment can be fast-paced and challenging. Organizational skills are essential. Training and development are provided, and the team is supportive and knowledgeable.
