We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an ambitious and capable HR Officer to join their growing team in Slough. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated HR professional with a strong foundation in HR operations and a genuine appetite for growth and development.
About the Role
This full-time, office-based role will play a key part in shaping the people function of the business. While the core HR systems and processes are already in place, we are now looking to elevate the department to become a true backbone of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support and manage core HR functions including employee relations, contracts, onboarding, and compliance
* Play an active role in recruitment, learning & development, and performance management
* Support training needs analysis, reporting, and delivery in partnership with internal teams
* Assist with appraisals, succession planning, and workforce development initiatives
* Provide HR reporting and contribute to strategic planning with senior leadership
* Ensure HR practices align with changing business needs and best practice
What We're Looking For:
* Solid experience in a generalist HR role
* Strong understanding of recruitment, L&D, and HR reporting
* Familiarity with managing or supporting appraisal and succession planning processes
* A proactive, hands-on attitude and a genuine desire to grow professionally
* Someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is receptive to change
* CIPD qualification or progress toward it would be advantageous
