2 Electrical Maintenance Engineers required in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire
We are looking for Electrical Maintenance Engineers to join a leading FMCG manufacturing business. Applicants must have an 18th Edition certification or a Level 3 qualification (HNC or equivalent) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, preferably from an FMCG environment (food manufacturing, packaging, print, pharmaceutical or plastics). Other industries may be considered if you have relevant electrical maintenance experience.
The role involves 4 on 4 off shifts (2 days and 2 nights as part of the 4 on period). Annual salary is up to £58,000 per annum (DOE) with overtime opportunities. Candidates must fault find PLCs and have both electrical and mechanical capabilities.
What you will do
* Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
* Develop and implement preventative and predictive maintenance programmes to minimise downtime.
* Troubleshoot equipment/process issues, identifying root causes and implementing solutions to improve operational efficiency.
* Collaborate with the production team to ensure maintenance and changeover tasks are completed within agreed timeframes.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives using tools such as 5S, TPM, and Kaizen.
* Maintain high housekeeping standards and proper segregation of waste from engineering activities.
What you will bring
* NVQ Level 3 / HNC (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Electrical Maintenance.
* Strong fault finding and problem solving skills with PLC diagnostics and ladder logic.
* Proficiency in reading complex electrical/engineering drawings.
