My client, a leading regional Legal practice, is looking to recruit a Paralegal to join a busy, well-respected Employment Law team. Ideally, you will have worked as an Employment Law Paralegal previously or have gained some Employment, Commercial, or Corporate law experience.
You will work on contentious and non-contentious matters, undertake drafting (contracts, handbooks, witness statements, settlement agreements), and provide ad-hoc HR and employment law support to clients.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Work on contentious and non-contentious matters, undertake drafting (contracts, handbooks, witness statements, settlement agreements), and provide ad-hoc HR and employment law support to clients.
2. Advise and prepare submissions and instructions.
3. Liaise with clients via email and telephone.
4. Deal promptly and efficiently with all matters and tasks referred by fee earners in a busy department.
5. Prepare documentation to assist in client file preparation.
6. Review and prepare documents for document production requests, solicitor e-bundles, e-bills, and respond to client emails, uploading documents to the Case Management system.
7. Work with various clients to offer high-quality client care and tailor communication to different needs.
8. Utilise communication tools to update clients on their cases.
9. Develop client engagement, take instructions, and advise clients where appropriate, in person, by email, or over the phone.
10. Onboard clients by opening and closing files.
11. Be proactive on files and handle tasks using initiative.
About you:
* Some experience as a paralegal in Employment Law, Commercial Law, or Corporate Law.
* Excellent client care and support skills.
* Excellent communication skills are essential, alongside strong negotiation skills.
* Ability to work to deadlines, prioritise, and manage a varied caseload.
* Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
* High standard of verbal and numerical reasoning.
* Ability to analyse, evaluate, and communicate information logically.
* Professional and effective communication with team members and contacts.
