Senior Associate – Advisory
Join Capsticks LLP as a Senior Associate in our Advisory Division, focusing on health and social care clients.
The Division
* Inquests
* Litigation: including Court of Protection, judicial review and mental health tribunal matters
* Mental Health and Mental Capacity law, to include Deprivation of Liberty
* Public law, advising commissioning and service provider organisations on governance, powers and responsibilities, as well as funding and treatment decision making
* Governance and patient safety investigations
* CQC and related health care regulation
* Confidentiality
* Information law (DPA/FOIA)
Location & Working
London (Hybrid Working)
Responsibilities
* Supervise and support a team of junior lawyers
* Advise clients on health and social care issues across the areas listed above
* Collaborate with a national team of leading lawyers and colleagues
* Handle politically sensitive cases for the NHS
Skills & Experience
* Demonstrable advisory experience, including advocacy, or an appetite to develop advocacy skills, preferably within a leading healthcare law practice
* Confidence, self‑motivation, and the ability to work with senior NHS management
