About the Role

You will support pupils in developing technical skills in areas such as drawing, painting, sculpture, mixed media, and digital art, while also helping them understand the historical and cultural contexts of art.
Key responsibilities include:
* Planning and delivering engaging Art lessons across KS3 and KS4
* Encouraging creativity, experimentation, and artistic confidence
* Teaching a range of artistic techniques including drawing, painting, and mixed media
* Supporting pupils in developing sketchbooks, portfolios, and creative projects
* Assessing pupil progress and providing constructive feedback
* Contributing to department planning and curriculum development
* Supporting exhibitions, art displays, and creative enrichment opportunities
* Maintaining a well-organised and inspiring studio environment
Experience and Skills
The successful candidate will:
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
* Have strong subject knowledge in Art and Design
* Demonstrate creativity and enthusiasm for teaching art
* Possess strong classroom management and organisational skills
