Lead Pharmacist, Medicine

The post holder will provide strategic, operational and professional leadership in relation to medicines optimisation to ensure the delivery of effective pharmacy support across all Medicine Division.
You will need excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to organise and prioritise your work. This post would be ideal for someone looking to develop or extend their clinical leadership, expanding on their understanding of systems working and demonstrating impact. The successful applicant will join a caring pharmacy and trust team. You will be supported to develop clinical, leadership, managerial, research and strategic skills.
All pharmacists participate in seven day working and late duty rotas and you will be part of the Pharmacy Senior On Call team.
Main duties of the job
* Provide strategic, operational and professional leadership in relation to Medicine, promoting evidence-based, cost-effective use of medicines in the Trust.
* Lead and manage other pharmacy staff working in the Medicine Division to ensure service delivery to agreed standards in line with business planning requirements.
* Provide an advanced clinical service to patients as part of the team. This may include patient facing work in areas such as Medicine and Renal.

Qualifications & Education
* Registered with GPhC
* Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent
* Masters in Pharmacy Degree - MPharm
* MRPharmS
* Member of Faculty of RPS and working towards advanced practice
* Independent prescriber
* Leadership/Management Qualification
Knowledge & Experience
* Extensive post registration experience at least 8a level
* Experience of working in areas linked to Medicine
* Developing and leading on projects
* Staff training and appraisal
* Knowledge of CMM
* Risk management and assessment
* Procedure and business plan writing
* Understanding of systems/place in NHS
