The Role
To lead and manage all aspects of high-value, complex construction projects, ensuring they meet customer and company requirements, support the company's vision, strategy, and values, and contribute to business growth through relationship building.
Key Accountabilities
* Deliver projects in line with customer and company expectations regarding quality and timelines.
* Coordinate the site team, including subcontractors, trades, and external supply chain partners.
* Implement and maintain quality assurance standards to ensure project delivery excellence.
* Ensure compliance with HSQE standards, policies, ISO standards, and legislative requirements throughout all project phases.
* Maintain up-to-date and comprehensive programmes, plans, method statements, and risk assessments.
* Understand and adhere to contract terms and conditions.
* Keep accurate site records in accordance with company and legal standards.
* Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
* Manage budgets and financial performance in collaboration with the Quantity Surveyor.
* Identify and escalate potential issues proactively.
Skills & Experience
* Construction background with knowledge of PFMA, precast structures, and delivery.
* Extensive experience in construction management within similar organizations.
* Strong technical and legislative knowledge of construction practices.
* Experience managing projects up to £40 million.
* Knowledge of large MEP systems and pre-cast construction.
* Experience conducting quality audits and fireproofing installations.
* Groundworks and external earthworks experience.
* Ability to coordinate trades, including finishing trades.
* Ability to produce accurate and timely reports.
* Effective collaboration with commercial and planning teams to manage changes.
* Knowledge of NEC 4 contract conditions.
