Details: Hours: 15 hours per week Duration: 21 weeks to start Location: DT11 Mode: Face-to-face The student is an expressive young person who is cognitively able but faces significant attentional, emotional, and behavioural barriers to learning. They have a diagnosis of ADHD and may exhibit challenging behaviours, including refusal to engage, attempts to abscond, and occasional violent outbursts when dysregulated. They experience high emotional stress and hyper-vigilance, with a strong need to control their environment. Building trust and forming positive relationships will be key to helping them relax and engage in learning. The student enjoys sports, practical activities, and being outdoors, and responds well to patient, consistent support.
