We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced consumer finance lawyer to join a growing legal practice at a pivotal stage in its growth strategy. Our client specialises in consumer finance, in particular car finance and is at the forefront of innovation within consumer claims. With strong investor backing, the firm is entering an exciting phase of development aligned with the recently announced Car Finance Redress Scheme and wider opportunities in the consumer claims market. We're looking for an experienced Solicitor to join the firm in a senior leadership position, reporting directly to the Executive Board, to play a central part in developing and overseeing the firm’s settlement strategy, regulatory compliance framework, and legal operations. The successful candidate will work closely with investors, lenders, and external advisers and will be instrumental in shaping the firm's future strategic direction. Key Responsibilities • Reporting to the Legal Director, CEO, and Executive Board • Developing and delivering a settlement strategy in line with the anticipated Car Finance Redress Scheme • Ensuring compliance with SRA, FCA, and ICO regulatory requirements • Advising the Board on regulatory and legal compliance • Working closely with the firm’s investors on settlement strategy and legal risk • Managing relationships with lenders and external legal advisers • Recruiting, building, and leading a legal and settlement strategy team • Contributing to the identification and development of future opportunities within the consumer claims market About You • Qualified Solicitor with at least 7 years’ experience in consumer finance, regulatory law, or complex consumer claims • Experience operating at senior or board level • Sound understanding of SRA, FCA, and ICO regulatory frameworks • Commercially astute and confident advising senior stakeholders and investors • Proven leadership experience, including team recruitment and management • Strategic thinker looking to play a key role in the long-term growth of a firm What's in it for you?
