Main Responsibilities and Duties:
* Daily banking and reconciliation of dealership accounts.
* Posting and allocating bank transactions in the accounting system.
* Inputting purchase invoices and credit notes accurately and promptly.
* Performing supplier statement reconciliations and preparing payment runs.
* Resolving supplier queries in a timely and professional manner.
* Maintaining and updating all ledgers in line with company policies and deadlines.
* Managing and reporting on Group debtors, highlighting any issues or overdue accounts to Senior Management.
* Supporting the month-end close process as required.
* Undertaking a monthly vehicle stock check and reconciling to internal records.
* Assisting with general finance and admin duties to support the wider team.
Person Specification:
Essential Skills and Experience:
* Proven experience in an accounts or finance assistant role.
* Strong attention to detail with high levels of accuracy.
* Good communication skills and the ability to liaise confidently with internal teams and external suppliers.
* Organised and able to manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
* Able to work effectively as part of a team.
* Customer-focused approach with a commitment to high service standards.
Desirable:
* Previous experience in the retail motor trade or dealership environment.
* Familiarity with dealership management systems (e.g. CDK).
