If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a General Assistant within our Landscape and Stoneware Department. What is the role? We have a number of roles availible offering 8 hour contracts o, working days will include evenings and weekend work. A flexible approach is required. These roles are on a permanent basis. Your daily role will include; - Ensuring customers are greeted and offered assistance in a courteous and efficient manner. - Working outdoors using and operating pallet trucks. - Maintaining a good, up-to-date knowledge of all departmental and surrounding departments products. - Effective stock rotation management and replenish stock as required. - Advising and supporting customers with their purchases to maximise sales. - Striving at all times to satisfy and exceed customer expectations. - Merchandising product ranges. Please note due to the products sold within this department including compost, pots and heavy stoneware items, that there will be a high level of heavy lifting required in this department. You'll be looking for an opportunity to work within a fast-paced environment with an extensive range of products and you'll have an enthusiastic and friendly, approachable customer focused personality. - Proven experience of working in a retail, customer facing role is essential. - Has strong customer service selling skills. - Shows the ability to work at pace and under pressure. - The ability to work effectively as part of a large team and be proactive. - Has a customer service focused mentality and shows good communication skills.
