Senior Lecturer in Pharmacy (Clinical Skills & Prescribing)
Teesside University is seeking an enthusiastic and forward‑thinking pharmacist educator to support the continued development of our innovative MPharm programme and pharmacist independent prescribing provision.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver clinical skills teaching, prescribing education, simulation and practice‑based learning across undergraduate and postgraduate pharmacy programmes.
- Contribute to OSCEs and all clinical skills delivery activities.
- Support the implementation and growth of pharmacist independent prescribing education.
- Demonstrate a developing profile in leadership, scholarship, curriculum development and/or professional practice innovation.
- Collaborate with the Pharmacy@TU team to shape the future pharmacy workforce within the North East and beyond.
Key Requirements
- GPhC registered pharmacist from any background (community, hospital, primary care, GP practice, specialist services, prescribing practice or academia).
- Experience in teaching and assessment across pharmacy programmes.
- Knowledge of contemporary prescribing education, simulation and experiential learning, integrated pharmacy curricula, patient‑centred consultation skills, and interprofessional practice‑focused education.
- Evidence of leadership, scholarship or curriculum development activity.
- Access to DBS clearance (off‑orm O).
- Willingness to contribute to staff development and recognition initiatives.
