A welcoming and well-regarded primary school in Harlow is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Key Stage 1 Teacher to join their team. About the Role
The successful candidate will take responsibility for a KS1 class, delivering engaging and creative lessons that support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development. You will be part of a friendly and collaborative staff team, with strong leadership support and well-established classroom routines.
This role would suit both experienced teachers and ECTs who are passionate about early education and keen to make a positive impact.
Key Responsibilities
* Planning and delivering high-quality lessons in line with the KS1 National Curriculum
* Creating a stimulating, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment
* Monitoring progress and adapting teaching to meet the needs of all learners
* Building strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
* Maintaining high expectations for behaviour, engagement, and achievement
* Working closely with teaching assistants and support staff
* Contributing to the wider life of the school
The Ideal Candidate
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Experience teaching in Key Stage 1 (including placements)
* A creative and enthusiastic approach to teaching and learning
* Strong classroom management and organisation skills
* A caring, patient, and positive attitude
* Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
