Role Purpose
To generate and qualify new business leads to feed into the sales pipeline. Your work will help drive revenue growth by identifying potential customers, engaging with them, and arranging hand‐offs to the sales or account management team for closure.
Key Responsibilities
* Research and identify prospective customers in relevant industries (e.g. manufacturing, construction, public sector, services)
* Use outbound communication channels: cold calling, emailing, LinkedIn / social media outreach
* Respond to inbound enquiries promptly and follow up to qualify them
* Qualify leads by gathering necessary information (customer needs, budget, timeline, etc.)
* Book meetings / appointments for field sales or senior sales staff
* Maintain and update the CRM system with lead data, follow‐ups, status, etc.
* Monitor and report on lead generation metrics: number of contacts made, conversion rates, pipeline growth etc.
* Collaborate with marketing (if applicable) to improve lead quality, feedback, and refine messaging
* Meet or exceed lead generation targets / KPIs set by Sales Manager
Skills & Qualifications
* Previous experience in lead generation / sales / business development (B2B preferred)
* Strong communication skills: verbal and written
* Comfortable with cold calling and outreach, resilient to rejection
* Organised, able to manage time and follow up properly
* Familiarity with CRM software (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.)
* Good research skills; able to identify decision makers and target companies
* Driven, proactive, target‐oriented mindset
Nice to Have
* Experience or interest in fire safety / safety equipment, or working in industrial environments
* Understanding of compliance / safety regulations would be a plus
* Knowledge of specific verticals where fire safety is critical (e.g. construction, hospitality, warehousing)
