Chedburgh Parish Council Address: Chedburgh, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk IP29 4UL Salary: £14.84 per hour Hours: 6 hours per week, part time, including evening meeting attendance Contract: Permanent, required as soon as possible Reference: 0321 Your role Chedburgh Parish Council is seeking a highly organised and committed Parish Clerk to undertake this key role, which is responsible for all day-to-day organisation and management of the council’s services, staff, facilities and finances. You will need to be motivated, flexible and community-focused with excellent leadership, management, administrative, inter-personal, accounting and IT skills to work successfully with Councillors, external organisations, stakeholders and the community. Your responsibilities You will be responsible for all day-to-day organisation and management of the Parish Council’s services, staff, facilities and finances as well as producing the agenda and meeting minutes for and from the regular parish council meetings. You will need: ideally, the CiLCA qualification a sound understanding of local authority organisation and management to be highly organised and committed to undertaking this key role a sound understanding of accounting procedures strong interpersonal and communication skills.
