We are currently working in partnership with a public sector body based in the West Midlands, who are recruiting for a Painter & Decorator (Ref:145719) on a temporary six-month contract. The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis, with an hour rate up to £20 CIS/UMB.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
1. Preparing and treating affected surfaces, remove mould growth, clean and apply appropriate fungicidal solutions, fillers, or sealants to ensure surfaces are properly treated before decoration
2. Repainting and restoring finishes, apply primers, paints, or protective coatings to walls, ceilings, and woodwork after treatment, ensuring a durable and clean finish that prevents recurrence and meets housing standards
Expertise required:
3. Strong experience in painting & decorating
4. Ideally hold an NVQ level 2
5. Must hold a full UK Driving License and have access to a van themselves
6. Requires a set of own tools
Working hours:
7. 40 hours per week
8. Monday - Friday
