Site Director of Nursing - Aintree University Hospital

We are seeking an outstanding Director of Nursing to join our hospital leadership team at Aintree University Hospital, working closely with the Executive Managing Director and colleagues, to shape and deliver safe and effective care and to support the development of the nursing service and the quality agenda.

Main duties of the job
This is a high-profile leadership role with responsibility for supporting the delivery of consistently high-quality, compassionate care and providing strategic advice to the Executive Managing Director and the Group Chief Nursing Officer on quality, safety, and patient experience. You will play a key role in driving performance and continuous improvement across the organisation.

Person Specification
Qualifications and Registrations
* First level Registered Nurse
* Educated to Masters Level or above
* Evidence of continuous professional development
Knowledge and Experience
* Significant senior level experience in a complex NHS Trust, ideally as Deputy Chief Nurse/Chief Nurse or with senior operational management experience in an acute healthcare environment with a track record of delivery against key targets.
* Expert level knowledge of critical factors in delivering improvements in clinical performance, nationally and globally
* Demonstrable track record of defining and delivering clinical strategies in a senior nursing role.
* Recognised leaders with influence and personal credibility that extends across the public sector, with a track record of success in delivery across organisational boundaries
* Experience of leading and delivering change and improving organisational and clinical effectiveness.
* Detailed knowledge of current professional issues
Skills
* Ability to cope with complex organisational issues and deal with complexity and competing priorities on a day-to-day basis
* Ability to assess priorities and make decisions, give leadership and direction
* Ability to lift above the operational day to day issues and think strategically
