Are you highly organised, proactive, and passionate about delivering exceptional executive support? We are looking for two Professional Assistants to join our Executive Support Team, providing dedicated support to Service Directors in our Senior Leadership Team, specifically:
* 1 x Professional Assistant supporting the Service Directors within Children’s Services
* 1 x Professional Assistant supporting the Service Directors within Customer and Corporate Services
This is a dynamic and rewarding role where you will act as the first point of contact for senior officers, ensuring their time is used effectively and business flows smoothly. You’ll manage complex diaries, coordinate meetings and events, prepare agendas and papers, and handle correspondence with professionalism and discretion.
What You’ll Do
* Provide high-level administrative and organisational support to senior officers.
* Manage diaries, inboxes, and meeting arrangements, including agendas, minutes, and action tracking.
* Liaise confidently with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leaders, elected members, and partner organisations.
* Respond to issues and queries promptly, using initiative to resolve problems and escalate where necessary.
What We’re Looking For
* Strong IT skills and experience with Microsoft Office and digital tools.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with tact and confidentiality.
* Proven ability to prioritise competing demands and work under pressure.
* Experience in providing administrative support in a fast-paced environment.
* A collaborative team player who can also work independently.
Essential Qualifications And Experience
* GCSEs (A*-C / 9-4) in English and Maths or equivalent.
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience in business support.
* Demonstrable experience in diary management, meeting coordination, and customer service.
