Job Summary:
We are looking for a caring, reliable, and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Care Home Cook. In this role, you will prepare nutritious, home-cooked meals for our residents, helping to ensure they enjoy a varied and balanced diet in a warm, supportive environment.
You do not need previous experience as a cook – full training and support will be provided. If you enjoy cooking and want to make a meaningful difference in people's lives, we'd love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and cook daily meals, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks, following the planned menus
* Cater to individual dietary requirements, including allergies and special diets (training provided)
* Ensure food is presented well and served at the correct temperature
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and food storage areas
* Follow all food safety, health and safety, and infection control procedures
* Work closely with care staff to meet residents' nutritional and personal preferences
* Support with ordering and stock control of kitchen supplies
* Engage with residents about their food preferences and suggestions

Pay: £12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
