We are recruiting for a Credit Controller to join our friendly team based in Halesowen town centre. This is a part-time opportunity for someone who wants to start their career in an credit control environment or someone looking to work around family commitments. We are looking for 16 hours per week at £12.50 per hour, 10am -2pm, Mon - Thursday based in our small friendly office.

As one of our team you will be reporting directly to the Sales and Finance Leads and your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

* Chasing accounts and liasing with clients via quickbooks, telephone and e-mail.

* Work with sales and finance in collection payment of outstanding balances.

* Make Phone calls/send emails to deal with customer queries.

* General accounts & administration duties using Quickbooks, Excel, Word, Outlook etc.

This role would suit someone who is just starting their career in accounts and has experience of dealing with customers on the phone, but just as important is someone proactive/hardworking and who can become a valuable member of the team.

Responsibilities

* Monitor and manage overdue accounts to ensure timely collection of outstanding debts
* Contact clients via telephone, email, or letter to follow up on unpaid invoices
* Maintain accurate records of all communication and payment activities using accounting software
* Analyse customer accounts to identify potential credit risks and escalate issues as necessary
* Collaborate with the sales and finance teams to resolve billing discrepancies or disputes
* Update and maintain data entry records related to credit limits, payment terms, and client information
* Assist with accounts payable processes as required
* Prepare regular reports on debt recovery progress and outstanding balances for management review

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 16 per week

Experience:

* Telephony: 1 year (preferred)
* QuickBooks: 1 year (preferred)
* Microsoft Office: 1 year (preferred)
