We’re looking for a driven and creative Communication and Marketing Lead to be responsible for delivering engaging campaigns and producing content for a range of audiences and channels, from social media to publications. You’ll lead every part of the process planning, content creation, evaluation, and stakeholder engagement, helping us to communicate with clarity and impact. You will be given all the tools to do the job, i.e. phone, camera, software etc and a newly defined set of brand guidelines, with a clear communications plan and strategic guidance from our PR consultant. There is scope with this role to develop into a management position in the future for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

Digital and Social Media

* Devise and implement strategies to grow social media presence and engagement.
* Develop and deliver engaging social media campaigns to engage our key audiences.
* Design content across all digital channels including optimised website pages, newsletters, emails, social media and strategic documents.

Content Creation

* Lead as brand champion, guide colleagues on appropriate use of brand identity.
* Create assets, graphics, and videos to engage people with our work, highlight our impact and bring the experiences of the young people we work with to life.

Marketing

* Manage YFNWs website, including overall structure, content, and presentation, working with our website designers as necessary.
* Plan and implement effective marketing campaigns that fit with our strategic plan and brand identity.
* Produce reports, training materials and documents in line with the brand guidelines.

Evaluation and insight

* Conduct research and evaluation to measure the success of communication campaigns and activities, gathering insights and analytics.
* Report learning and results of marketing and social media campaigns to the team and use that to further enhance future content and campaigns.

Communication and Collaboration

* Act as the communications point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
* Work flexibly with team members and contribute to a positive, collaborative working environment.
* Actively contribute to team meetings, planning sessions, and team building initiatives.
* Plan and deliver effective internal communications to ensure staff are well-informed and engaged.

IT & Digital

* Be a competent user of Microsoft office 365/G Suite and its functions.
* Skilled in use of digital tools to create engaging content. eg, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite

Flexibility

* Work flexibly with minimal supervision
* Attend meetings at YFNW HQ as well as other locations and online
* Undertake relevant training as necessary to enhance personal and professional development
* Undertake such other duties as may be reasonably required of the post.

Qualifications

Degree or equivalent professional qualification in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience).

1-2 years proven experience of working in a communications, marketing or public relations role, delivering effective communication activities.

Experience of writing and editing content for a wide range of channels and audiences, including both digital and print formats.

Assisting with or delivering communication campaigns or projects from planning through to implementation.

Knowledge of a range of communication channels and Skills and Abilities techniques (including press, marketing, digital media and internal communication) and how to use them to engage different audiences.

Clear understanding of the importance of reputation management and the role of effective communication in protecting and enhancing an organisation's reputation. Understanding of, and commitment to, equality, diversity and inclusion.

Excellent writing, editing and proof reading skills with the ability to craft clear, engaging content and adapt style to suit different audiences and channels.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, partners and young people.

Proficiency in digital tools and IT, including competence in social media platforms, content management systems and standard office software.

Creative and innovative approach to communications, with the ability to contribute new ideas for engaging campaigns and solve problems proactively.

Desirable:

Experience of using CMS software, Wordpress or similar Use of insight analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Google Console, Meta Business Suite etc.

Skilled in using content creation tools such as photography, video editing or graphic design for use in communications.

Analytical skills, including the ability to interpret data and research to inform and improve communication activities (e.g. using web or social media analytics, survey results).

Salary:

£26,835.00 - £28,163.00* dependent on skills, qualifications and experience (NJC 10-13)
