As a Veterinary Care Assistant at PDSA Hendon Pet Hospital (NW4 4JU) and our Edmonton Green Pet Clinic (N9 9AA), you’ll be at the heart of a busy, caring team that helps pets and their owners every single day.Please note: applicants must be able to travel to both sites. Each day will bring something different, including: Preparing and dispensing medication Supporting our vets and nurses in consults and procedures Looking after patients in our kennels with hands-on care Answering emergency phone calls and assisting worried clients Sterilising surgical equipment to high clinical standards Keeping our hospital and clinic safe, clean and welcoming Working Hours Weekdays: Shifts rotate between 8:30–17:00, 9:00–17:30, 9:30–18:00 and 11:45–20:15 Weekends: Approximately 1 in every 6–7 weekends (Saturday & Sunday 9:00–17:00) Weekend shifts include enhanced pay and two weekdays off in return Occasional Nights: Overnight shifts (20:00–08:00) may be required to support hospital operations This role is the perfect starting point if you’re looking to build a career in veterinary practice, nursing, or animal welfare. About You: To be considered for this role, you must hold a Veterinary Care Assistant Level 2 Diploma (or equivalent qualification). You should also be highly self-motivated, compassionate, and confident in delivering excellent customer service. Minimum age requirement: 18 years, due to our varied shift patterns.
