Child Residential Worker We are recruiting on behalf of a specialist educational and residential care provider for Child Residential Workers to support children and young people with disabilities, complex needs and challenging behaviour within a childrens residential home setting. The service follows a Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) model and provides a nurturing, structured and child-centred environment. The role is Permanent Salary £25,549 £28,612 per annum Benefits 20 days annual leave (pro rata) plus 12 statutory days Annual incremental pay increases Enhanced weekend and waking night rates Pension scheme and occupational sick pay Free on-site parking Funded training and professional development NISCC registration fee reimbursement Death in Service benefit (2x salary) Hours of work Hours: 38 hours per week Enhanced rates for weekends, evenings and waking night shifts Shifts: Rota-based including evenings, weekends and unsocial hours The Role As a Child Residential Worker, you will: Deliver person-centred care to children and young people Support daily routines, emotional wellbeing and personal care where required Plan and engage children in activities such as play, crafts, outdoor activities, trips and community access Promote independence, choice and dignity Work closely with families, education staff and external professionals Create a safe, homely and stimulating environment Maintain accurate records and adhere to safeguarding, regulatory and care standards Participate in a full rota including evenings, weekends and night duties Essential Criteria Level 3 qualification in a care-related subject (e.g. Health & Social Care, Early Years) Minimum 6 months experience supporting children or adults with learning disabilities and/or complex needs Willingness to register with NISCC Ability to provide personal care Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team Flexible to work rota-based shifts Right to work in the UK If you are interested in this position please send your CV via the link provided.
